Frank (Sean Chapman) has solved a mysterious puzzle book called The Lamont Configuration and finds a doorway to hell. Evil demons, Cenobites, with a preference for exquisite torture and pain, appear. Led by the instant icon Pinhead (Doug Bradley) Frank loses his earthly body and hides in a gross jelly skeletal fashion in his ex-lover's house. Frank then forces his ex Julia (Claire Higgins) to find a way to bring his body back, something that will require human sacrifices and is is going to hurt the pain-craving demons from hell.
