Picture it – it is 2048 and most of the Earth has flooded due to an epic series of events linked to the effects global warming leaving families scrapping to reach the little remaining land. As the land masses become severely overcrowded and the populations more volatile, there are those who emerge with a few remaining technological tools such as submarines and begin to dive beneath the depths to the befallen structures covered and crumbling from the elements. These are the men that become known as the Lost City Raiders. The most prolific of these are a couple of brothers, Jack Kubiak (Ian Somerholder) and Thomas Kubiak (Jamie Thomas King) and their father, John Kubiak (James Brolin). Daring the treacherous oceans, the Kubiaks scour the destruction and desolation in search of treasures they can resurrect from the engulfed world deep below in hopes of bringing them to the surface. Ultimately, though, the pieces that are raised become more symbolic artifacts than monetary treasures as survivors find a slim link to their own pasts.
