The peaceful inhabitants of the beautiful planet Terra are good at minding their own business and keeping to themselves. When the last surviving members of humanity come upon Terra in their aging spaceship, the peaceful planet finds itself the site of an all out battle for control of the planet. When a young and rebellious terrian named Mala Evan (Evan Rachel Wood) befriends the injured human pilot Jim Stanton (Luke Wilson), however, the stakes may change. Will their unlikely friendship be enough to convince the two sides that war is not the solution to their problems, and that they can peacefully find a way to solve their differences?
