Taken explores the long-term effects of alien interference on Earth. Three families are changed by contact with extraterrestrials and each family must deal with it down through several generations. The Clarkes, the Crawfords, and the Keys are affected in different ways but they all must come to terms with their lives as affected by those not from this planet. Despite the alien nature of the instruments of change, the outcome is an extremely human drama that speaks to the basic humanity in all of us.
